The Research Triangle, anchored by Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, hosts the third-largest biotechnology cluster in the United States, with more than 675 life-science companies in the region and around 500 of them in and around Wake County. Yes. The Triangle's biotech and CRO mix is roughly half Mac, half Windows in office, plus Windows-driven lab instruments that almost never get patched on the OEM's schedule. We handle the office side completely (MDM, M365 identity, encrypted backup, conditional access, email security) and we work alongside instrument vendors to keep the lab segment isolated and patched without breaking validation. We do this remotely; if a piece of lab gear needs hands-on, we coordinate with on-site staff or a smart-hands partner.
Yes. The Triangle leans Linux-friendly, and a lot of small companies run heavier on engineering tooling than a typical SMB does. We support Linux laptops alongside Mac and Windows, keep SSO working through Okta or Entra ID across the developer toolchain, harden GitHub and GitLab access, and write the security policies your enterprise customers and SOC 2 auditor expect.
