Remote IT Support · Toronto, ON
CyberITEX provides remote-first IT support to small businesses across Toronto and the GTA, from downtown and the Financial District to North York, Mississauga, Markham, and Vaughan. We do not have a Toronto office, and that is exactly why we can deliver senior-level help without the trip fees and minimums local shops add to every ticket. We support what Toronto SMBs actually run: Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, mixed Windows and Mac fleets, secure remote access, identity and MFA hardening for fintech and professional-services firms, and the PIPEDA-aware controls Canadian small businesses need to handle customer data responsibly.

Toronto is Canada's business and financial capital, generating roughly 50% of Ontario's GDP with nearly 110,000 businesses and a workforce of about 1.8 million. The metro's GDP reached $213.5 billion in 2023, with projected 2.9% annual growth through 2028. Toronto is now North America's second-largest financial centre after New York, with more than 1,200 fintech companies, 12,000 financial-services companies, and over 380,000 financial-services professionals; emerging strength in fintech, crypto and blockchain, edtech, IoT, and big data layers on top of that base. The vast majority of Toronto businesses are SMBs, which is exactly the segment we serve. The IT pain points are familiar but with a Canadian flavour. Fintech and professional-services SMBs face vendor-security questionnaires from the big banks (RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC) that look like the questionnaires Charlotte vendors get from Bank of America or Truist. Healthcare-services firms operate under PHIPA in Ontario rather than HIPAA, which has its own audit and breach-notification expectations. And every SMB with customer data is subject to PIPEDA federally and faces Office of the Privacy Commissioner reporting on a real breach. We help with all of it without an enterprise retainer.
GTA MSP rates typically run CAD $135 to $190 per hour with one to two hour minimums and trip charges for any on-site work outside the 416. Managed-services retainers for a small office commonly start around CAD $1,800 to $3,500 per month before security add-ons. Our pricing starts at $79 per 30-minute session (USD; we are happy to invoice in CAD or USD) with no minimum and no trip charge, and our 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern hours fully cover GTA business time. After-hours and weekends are on-call rather than a separate weekend rate. The tradeoff: hands-on hardware work inside a 151 Front Street or Markham colo cabinet gets routed to a smart-hands partner. For the bank vendor-questionnaire, M365, MFA, MDM, and PIPEDA-aware policy work that makes up most Toronto IT, the truck never needs to roll.

Yes. For Toronto clients with PIPEDA or PHIPA exposure, we configure Microsoft 365 and the supporting tooling to use Canadian regions where available and document data-residency in writing for your privacy file. We also help write the consent language, breach-response plan, and cross-border transfer notices the OPC and the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario expect. No separate Canadian-compliance surcharge; the rate is $79 per 30-minute session.
Yes. Our standard support window is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern, which is the same time zone as Toronto, so a GTA ticket is handled exactly like a New York or Tampa ticket. Toronto clients reach us through a shared Slack or Teams channel and see a response within minutes during the business day. After-hours and weekend incidents are covered by on-call rather than a separate rate.
